My boy is 4.

Griffin was helping me make some sweets over the weekend...boy, did he enjoy it!!! I still can't believe my little guy turns 4 tomorrow! He is such a funny kid, so full of curiosity. He is challenging, but in a good way...like I know he won't get pushed around and will always question the powers that be. He loves to be the center of EVERYBODYS attention, never afraid to do his newest animal impression or act out a scene for strangers. He doesn't discriminate, he is friendly, he loves to talk to everyone who crosses his path...always with questions. He is sensitive, it bothers him more if we are upset when he disobeys than being put in time-out. He is loud and clumsy. He is incredibly active and has amazing stamina for a boy his age but he is SLOW...slow to act/react, a slow runner, a slow talker. He loves to pretend he is an animal, or that his stuffed animals are his "baby" and he parents them. He loves to be outside. He loves to mimic anything Bruce and I are doing. He loves to play with his trains and dinosaurs. He loves to bang on his drums. He loves to play Leapster and games on the computer. He loves to watch YouTube videos on all types of subjects, right now it is active volcanoes. He loves to watch the same movie over, and over, and over until he has the dialogue memorized. He loves to make new friends. He loves to eat vegetables, choosing to eat them first at most meals. He loves his dog and his sister, equally for now. He remembers who gifted him all his favorite toys. At least once a week he asks to have a pajama day. His favorite foods are pizza and green beans. He loves to have mac n' cheese for lunch but won't eat it reheated. He hardly ever completely finishes a dessert. He prefers we walk places rather than drive. He hates cleaning up his toys but is really good at it. He can be incredibly cranky for hours at a time. He loves to make me laugh and he has a fantastic belly laugh. He is relational and is incredibly focused on connecting with people - especially his grandparents. His favorite t-shirt has ocean animals on it and he wears it every time it is clean. He still sleeps with his blankie. He likes to do things the same way every day. He can order for himself in restaurants. He has a passion for reading. He pronounces "L" as "W". He is a sweet, loving boy and I am soooooo lucky to be his Mama!

This is such a great post, Christi! I feel like I know Griffin so much better after reading that. I wish we lived closer because I think our boys would be the best of friends!

Love the new background, too!
